Hitting the Refresh Button: Being Open to New Ideas

As you may know or imagine, I am constantly updating my online platforms, especially my website with new content. I am very sure you may know, like me, that when searching the internet we can used to a page looking a certain way. It’s when we are in the editing mode, updating data, uploading and downloading information that we may not realize that there are minute changes taking place in the background. Hitting the old refresh button saves the new updated and relevant information. I like to call that upgrading. We’re continuously upgrading everyday especially in technology. I am not the most tech savvy with all of the new changes but I’d like to say that “I am getting there”. Clicking that refresh button is like upgrading or recalibrating our personal navigational system, roadmap or compass. It’s in those moments when we have bright ideas that we have changes in our perspectives and we embrace a new shift. This is also when we really push the refresh button to upgrade where we are, add-to or modify the landscape of strategies that we are using when managing our goals. Upgrading is an opportunity for growth! As we are creating new working strategies to achieve our goals we are always challenged with being open to new ideas and new endeavors that will positively move us forward in a greater, fruitful and impactful way. I know from experience, trial and error, that I’ve had to constantly stop and evaluate my new updates and ask myself the question, “Ok, where am I in the scheme of things at this moment with my new ideas?” I’ve come to know that small adjustments to my plans make a huge difference in the greater scheme of things! When the lightbulb comes on and I have that “bright idea”, I hit the refresh button so that I can upgrade my thinking!
