What's In Your Basket?

One of my favorite things to do is to get away for moment and have a picnic, day trip or head out for a family outing! Even if it is an "over-nighter", I find myself packing good treats, my teapots, and my all-time favorite staples in my big wicker picnic basket. I must say that I have worn out many of these baskets over the years because I have used them so much. When I finally arrive at my destination, unpacking all of the good things inside makes for a great moment, I like the fact that everything inside of the basket is what I like and that I have taken the time to place what I would want to have at my fingertips in there. Sometimes, I am packing it all in for the anticipation of using and enjoying them.

So I must ask you this question today? What's in your basket? Not necessarily in your picnic basket. What talents, skills, and gifts do you have that you carry along with you? Many of

my readers know, from past articles and my podcasts, that I get SO excited when I talk about our uniqueness especially as it pertains to our gifts, talents, skills and abilities.

In my book, Be Transformed: Empowering You For Destiny, I talk about our uniqueness. Here is one of my quotes from the book:

"I am convinced God specializes in variety. Each one of us has a uniqueness about us. We are made by design. He equips us with unique personalities, backgrounds and ways of doing things. Even our own fingerprints are unique". It's time to take the gifts out of the basket and off of the shelf and share them.

So I ask again: What's in your basket? You have much to contribute! What you carry in your basket is original, unique and uncommon. Don't take your gifts and talents for granted by comparison. The world is waiting for your contribution. You are one-of-a-kind and originality is the word of the day. I am so grateful the gifts and talents I have been graced and honored to have and it's by design..

I'm thankful for the basket that I carry and thankful to share the empowerment that's in it.
